Hailie Jade is Eminem and Kim’s daughter.
The little girl is Eminem’s biggest source of inspiration. Since her earlier years, Marshall recorded her voice on his album, the ‘ Slim Shady Lp ‘. He also dedicated his book ‘ Angry Blonde ‘ to her.
Hailie Jade Scott was born on December the 25 1995 in Detroit. She is the one who gave Eminem the strength and the faith to go to the end. Her birth has been a wake up call for Marshall who really felt devastated after Ronnie’s death and who nearly gave up his dream to be a rapper. Hailie made Eminem conscious of his responsibilities towards his family.
Nothing scared him more than the possibility of being separated from his daughter at the time he was facing Court charges :
‘I guess I’ve always been the type of person who, if a brick is thrown my way, I set it up the wrong way and stand on it. Whatever obstacle is thrown my way, I try to use it to my advantage and run with it. It was a dark time for me, I guess, but I can honestly say I probably would be a different person sitting here right now if it wasn’t for my little girl.’
Marshall also wanted to be a good and devoted father to his daughter unlike his own Dad. He expresses it so well in ‘ Cleaning Out My Closet ‘ while touching his ‘ Hailie tattoo ‘ tenderly :
“I look at Hailie and I couldn’t picture leavin’ her side”
Eminem’s wounds from the past are deep and still hurt. His Dad left him when he was just a few months old, and he wants things to be different for Hailie. Despite the fact he is a very busy man, most of his spare time belongs to his little lady. In his difficult love-hate relationship with his ex-wife Kim, Eminem has always put Hailie’s interest first. He also talks about in ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’:

Eminem’s biggest enemies, Benzino and Ja Rule, who know that Hailie is the person that really matters in Marshall’s life, didn’t hesitate to diss the young girl in order to weaken the talented rapper who came out of the lyrical battle stronger than ever, with Hailie’s participation in ‘Do Ray Me’ where she mockingly asks Marshall : ‘Daddy is Ja Rule taller than me’
Her Daddy answers sarcastically : ‘No honey, you guys are the same size’
His moving song ‘Hailie’s song’ from the Eminem Show summarizes the love Marshall feels for his little daughter who will be 8 years old on Christmas Day. It sounds like an ode to Hailie where his deespest feelings and Eminem’s ‘ real side ‘ is exposed to his public.
Hailie is the greatest Christmas gift Marshall could ever expect. She makes a happy and proud Daddy of him.

hey yall i dont kno either of them but i have lots of family that grew up in detroit, and my aunt lives by em about 10 or 15 miles away and i have passed the house. Well I read it at this one eminem website in like the section for Hailie, and there was a link to the article and what it said was that Hailie was at school and Kim who is in jail for drugs and all that, well a kid at school started calling Hailie’s mom a slut, and Hailie didn’t understnad it cause Em was trying to keep her out of all the crap that was going on with kim. So a few other kids kept calling Hailie’s mom a slut and stuff and Hailie picked up a chair and threw it at one of the kids and then told the teacher that she wanted her daddy, (but Em was on tour with D12 in Europe at the time) So a friend came and picked Hailie up. And a teacher quoted saying that Hailie was a really popular girl so the kids would get over it in a week or two, they were just disapointed in the way the usually shy, polite girl had acted.-I don’t know if anyone else had heard this, I will try and get back to the website where I read it so you’ll can read it for our self…

ok people, I am adopted so i know the connection between a father and his daughter can either be beautiful or ugly. My birth father was never there and he used to beat my mom whenever he was around, but my adoptive Father (in my eyes my real father) is like my best friend he is always there for me no matter what and i love that about him. Eminem reminds me a lot of the relationship between my dad and me in the song mockingbird. He has such a heart for kids and you see these videos where he is talking to kids and he uses such a sweet tone and he is so fun and caring around them. Its great. Eminem and I have been through a lot of the same stuff so i can kinda understand where he is coming from and what he means in his songs. My dad and I were talking the other day and he startted crying (and my dad doesnt cry) and he said i dont understand how someone can abandon their kids like that. I mean granted he was talking about me but i could feel the love there you know. It reminds me of when i saw Em introduce MOCKINGBIRD on MTV he started crying. It was so sweet. Ok, hey everyone. I’d just like to say that I actually know Hailie and Eminem. Hailie goes to my dance class, and I tutor her for Science sometimes. I seriously mean this, she is the most patient, kind, bubbly, down-to-earth girl I have ever met. Her dad’s a great guy, and when I tutor her at her house, he’s usually there, making us drinks…or telling Hailie how well she’s getting on. He’s a really sweet guy, and just being with them both for like half an hour, you can see just how much they really love each other. Ã?’m only in high-school, so I don’t have a child, and I can’t relate to many mothers/fathers about how you love your own child, but I love Hailie like she is my own sister. I didn’t know Kim very well…she was an O.K mother…and she did love Hailie…but often she didn’t show it. When she left Hailie was devastated but Hailie managed…and so did Marshall. They went to court and Marshall was so happy he could keep Hailie. Hailie is a sweet, caring little 8-year-old girl who is going to be successfull in WHATEVER she does. I have met Marshall a few times in the past two years, and that’s not enough to get to know him well. The first time I met Hailie at dance class, she never said anything about being Eminems daughter. I didn’t find out until I got a call from her three or four months later, with her asking if I could tutor her and Lainie or some days. It was when I first came to her house and met her father that I realized who he was. Hailie and I had been friends well before that! She was and still is a little sweetheart and she has a heart of pure gold! Even though I’d met her father, afterwards, I treated her no differently than I had before. She was still the same Hailie no matter who her parents were! And when I met Lainie, she was just as sweet and generous as Hailie. Her dad loves them loads and they both know it. I’d never use Hailie. I wasn’t even really that into Eminem at the time, so meeting him was a casual, “Hi, how are you? Thanks for tutoring my girls…etc.” And that’s it. Their lucky to have him, for sure…but they really are beautiful girls and I’d love them even if he wasn’t their father.
