I recently managed to capture some lyrics from Eminem’s new song « Mosh » on Shadysoldiers.com.
Of course, those are just partial lyrics. But they clearly reveal Eminem’s anger and disgust about Bush’s policy.
Some people who pretend to be patriotic are sometimes shocked and describe Eminem as anti-American.
Some comment left on an Eminem board by a US marine who pretended to be an Eminem fan really angered me:
« Everyone pay close attention to what I’m about to say.
I want to start off by saying that I’ve been a fan of Eminems ever since he’s started his rap career, and I’ve listened to him up to now, and I’ll keep listening to him in the future. This situation with him making comments and disses towards President Bush have most definately become out of hand, and are in fact getting childish. Eminem is acting more immature than he ever has in his whole career. Everyone gets the point that he has no respect for the President, and it is clear that Eminem has become a disgrace as an American.
I’m a U.S. Marine, so I know what I’m talking about here people. I’m not saying everybody has been doing this, but I’m seen a lot of messages and posts lately saying “Vote for Kerry, because Eminem says so.” That’s the worse thing anyone could do. Also, about this song Mosh and it’s lyrics, Eminem is not helping the country by saying those things. He’s not in this war to get money, he’s doing it to protect our country from terrorists. I’ve been to IRAQ, and I’m proud to serve my country, and die for it. Eminem has no place to say anything for the U.S. Armed Forces, because he’s a Rapper, not a Soldier. Don’t believe the media, they’re only interviewing the dark side of that country. When I arrived there many of the Iraqi’s were so happy to see us, because they want their freedom from the terrorists. The terrorists are the ones that hate us, and if we don’t stop them, then they’ll keep on attacking our country, just like 911. That’s the reason why we’re in this war, because we’re protecting our country and this citizens within it. My father was also in the Marine Corp, and he was the first one ready to go into battle.
President Bush is a good man. He’s trying to do good things by protecting our country from terrorists. He’s not trying to get money, or trying to get people killed. He’s doing what is best for the country, and the American people. I’ve seen him in speak, with all my fellow Marines, along with many other families, and civilians. The military supports President Bush, and we are glad to have him as a President. The years that Clinton was in office didn’t help, because all the terrorists attacks that happened during his time, such as the attack on the U.S.S. Cole in October of 2000, they just built up. The Clinton Administration avoided confrontations with these attacks. There were soldiers killed on the U.S.S. Cole. How do you think their family members felt. I bet you they weren’t too happy about Clinton not doing a thing. The point is President Bush is doing what’s good for the American people, by protecting them from Terrorists. Kerry is not going to protect them. This election is more of a popularity contest to Kerry, as many people have said. Kerry is a person that would not get the job done, plus he doesn’t fund the military, so that’s not helping, as far as keeping terrorists out of the country.
Everyone needs to realize that this war has to be fought, otherwise terrorists are just going to keep coming into our country and making these terrible bombings. Bush is the person that will protect this country from terrorists. He’s not trying to get people killed. The U.S. military is commanded by President Bush. That’s why he is called the Commander and Chief. Personnel of the U.S. Armed Forces fight for their country, their freedom, and their family. I’m proud to be a part of the U.S. Armed Forces, and I’m proud to serve under President Bush. Do the right thing people. Vote for President Bush, he’s a good man, and he will do a better job than Kerry.
Once again, I’ve been a fan of Eminem for years, and I probably will be in years to come. There’s someone out their who needs to open everyone’s eyes. That’s what Eminem needs, his eyes to be opened. »
How can a man like him tell us that Eminem needs his eyes to be opened when himself is blinded with his ignorant patriotism? How can he dare questioning Eminem’s American citizenship because he is clearly opposed to Bush? Also, how does this man call him immature for having a different political view?
America needs courageous people like Marshall Mathers to show some opposition to President Bush. As far as I am concerned, Bush is the worst president America has ever had and who is ready to do anything possible to satisfy his hegemony will, no matter how many lives it will cost. Bush is not only a danger for America, he endangers the whole world with his stubborn attitude. A man who sends America’s children to a worthless Iraqi war with no concern for the so many civilian victims on both sides is not exactly what I would call a « good man ».
I guess some rightists will never admit that they are blinded with their conservative vision of the world.
Eminem is exactly the opposite of this US marine’s description. His lyrics to the brand-new song « Mosh » are here to open people’s consciences:
“Land of the free, Home of the brave
Bush makes it so the soldiers Home is a Grave
military life is emotions of grey
explosions smoke and rolling over boulders to stay
alive and they dive in the commotional way
parents cope with the pain, hope and they pray
its stupid to say
but its evident the president cares more about money then the youth of today”
Eminem wants you to understand that Bush is transforming America’s sons’ home into a huge cemetery. Young Americans sent to war live in a world of fear and constant explosions, death belongs to their daily landscape. Parents are also victims of such policy. What can replace a lost kid?
Marshall’s words are incisive and he goes straight to the goal: Bush’s interest for money is obvious, he doesn’t care about the youth.
Those things needed to be said. From the mouth of an American citizen.
A president acting like a dictator needs to be fought by courageous people. The whole hip hop movement is here to back Eminem against a government whose weaknesses are digging its own grave.
« Mosh » is a hot bomb that will be dropped on Bush’s government soon. Be ready for a great sensation. « Encore » promises to be explosive.

go eminem!!! join the fight to save america! eminem you are one celebrity with a heart and a brain!! may this earth be blessed with more souls as you eminem
!!!
Agreed:)
Yeah, that marine was a mindless sheep or “government pawn” to quote Slim himself. He obviously didn’t know what he was talking about. We just just have to close our eyes (dispite of his attempts to “open” it) and give him the finger.
eminems the shit…regardless…and the fact of acting childish.he is using his spot to make stupid fucks look up and take notice that their actions have consequences…i’m a year off of voting and if i would vote.i would vote for kerry.i thought that since i knew.not since i knew about mosh.bush doesnt deserve it. trying to change shit for the potential benefit isn’t being childish.”come with me and i wont steer you wrong.” He’s almost being a parental figure.just swallow his words…
to further it…i am posting all the lyrics and i have the full song streaming on my blog.just click on the name.
This is my first time to this site. I was invited here by Gavin. I must say, it’s quite impressive. This is my first comment as well. I don’t want to be attacked, but I agree with the Marine and what he said. I am an American. I think Bush has mostly done what he thought was right and is not the animal so many portray him to be. I couldn’t have said it better myself. The Marine hit it right on the head. Bush is trying to protect us.
It always makes me shake my head when I read all this opposition when it comes from people that don’t even live in the US. Did you guys get attacked? Hrmm, let me think… NO! We did! And our Pres. is protecting us.
Another thing… a comment above said that Bush sent America’s children into Iraq and what about the civilians on both sides, etc. I see no American children going there. I see our MILITARY… the ones that VOLUNTEERED to join it and defend our country. Also, has anyone bothered to look into what a monster Saddam was to Iraq? Wow, the US really screwed things up by taking that guy out of power. How can anyone say that was a bad thing? Would’ve been nice if some of the lilly livered other countries would have helped us. But, they didn’t get attacked, so why bother right?
I think you all need to put yourselves in our shoes and the Presidents. The country get attacks. Thousands die right in the heart of America. He does what he should do, he fights back! It’s easy to sit elsewhere and point fingers and hindsight is 20/20. I know it wasn’t exactly Iraq that bombed our World Trade Center, but Iraq was a terrorsit threat too. That’s why it’s called the War on Terror. I believe they will find Bin Laden too, if he’s still alive. He just took care of 2 threats at once. Unfortunately, the Bin Laden one is still at large.
As for the above comment about putting America’s sons home into a huge cemetery. That is one of the most absurd comments I’ve heard of late. (Not meaning to be rude to the poster) The reason we are fighting the war on terror is to KEEP IT OFF AMERICAN SOIL, so we don’t have home turn into a cemetery!
And…
“Young Americans sent to war live in a world of fear and constant explosions, death belongs to their daily landscape. Parents are also victims of such policy. What can replace a lost kid?”
They are VOLUNTARY SOLDIERS! There was not a draft! Bush is trying to hinder what you said from happening at home. Where actual non-military kids would have to live with that in their own States of residence.
Don’t be scared: i won’t bite you. I just strongly disagree with you. unfortunately i don’t have enough time now to debate with you…
My comment on Mosh will follow as soon as Gavin will post it. The song has been leaked this morning.
Also, i would like to thank Gregg for the link to his blog. I definitely love Mosh which is a powerful and insighful song. I have downloaded it from Stimulate ldt…My comment on Mosh is currently done and will follow:)
This site really makes me sad. Ever here of “Freedom of Speech?” I stand right beside Eminem with his comments towards Bush. I couldn’t believe the person who started this made the comment, “I know what I am talking about, I am a marine.” Whiptey doo. I am an Army veteran with friends in Iraq. Bush is the worst thing that has ever happened to this country. The world hates the United States. Largest deficit in history. 2 million small businesses filling for unemployment. Signing the patriot act and then allowing assault weapons to be legal. I could go on and on. Eminem can voice his opinion anyway he wants and if he opens some eyes, good. If you think Eminem is being “immature” for voicing his opinion go listen to Justin Timberlake. Peace.

Who did you address this comment? you have no reason to be sad about this site, because the Eminem category in which i do write is clearly IN FAVOR of Eminem… and against Bush. Because to me he is the worst president America has ever had.
freedom of speech is freedom of speech. it’s not anti american to disagree with someone its what america is all about. the freedom to form your own opinions and voice them however you see fit. Eminem is against Bush thats his right as an american citizen. He is not saying vote for Kerry hes opening eyes to what needs to be changed. Eminem is in a place of power where his voice can be heard and I back him all the way for being AMERICAN enough to say what he wants to say and think what he wants to think. Hes not a disgrace as an american hes exactly what each and every american needs to be. Have a voice thats what its there for dont be ignorant and pass on your right to freedom
Those lyrics = FAKE The real Mosh just came out, its straight fire. It doesn’t disrespect the soiders or anything, just right at Bush.
Here are the real lyrics:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation under God
Indivisible….
It feels so good to be back..
I scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel and re-energize and rewind
I give sight to the blind, my insight to the mind
I exercise my right to express when I feel it’s time
It’s just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight, you take it as I’mma whip someone’s ass
If you don’t understand, don’t even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi-task
And in juggling both perhaps mastered his craft
Slash entrepreneur who has held onto few more rap acts
Who’s had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mr. kisses ass crack, he’s a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back
Chorus:
Come along follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength
Come with me and I won’t steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel
We gonna fight, we gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march
Through the swamp, we gonna mosh through the marsh
Take us right through the doors (c’mon)
All the people up top on the side and the middle
Come together lets all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people some white and some black
Don’t matter what color, all that matters we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause don’t matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain’t gonna stop us they can’t, we stronger now more than ever
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push, shove, mush, Fuck Bush, until they bring our troops home (c’mon)
Chorus.
Imagine it pouring, it’s raining down on us
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone’s tryina tell us something,
Maybe this is god just sayin’ we’re responsible
For this monster, this coward,
That we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head noddin’
How could we allow something like this without pumping our fists
Now this is our final hour
Let me be the voice in your strength and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply by six…
Teen million people, Are equal at this high pitch
Maybe we can reach alqueda through my speech
Let the president answer a higher anarchy
Strap him with an Ak-47, let him go, fight his own war
Let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our own soil
No more psychological warfare, to trick us to thinking that we ain’t loyal
If we don’t serve our own country, we’re patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes its all lies
The stars and stripes, they’ve been swiped, washed out and wiped
And replaced with his own face, Mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you know why,
Cause I told you to fight.
Chorus.
And as we proceed,
To Mosh through this desert storm,
In these closing statements, if they should argue
Let us beg to differ
As we set aside our differences
And assemble our own army
To disarm this Weapon of Mass Destruction
That we call our President, for the present
And Mosh for the future of our next generation
To speak and be heard
Mr. President, Mr. Senator…
Do you guy’s hear us…hear us…*laughing*
I know now those lyrics were fake. I have discovered the full song yesterday.
RESPECT!!!!!
What’s people’s problem with Eminem? Are they scared of tha truth? He just tellin it like it is
I don’t see what the problem is the marine has his point of view, Eminem has his. We’re all intelligent enough to gather our own info and come to our own conclusions. There many dimensions to the whole Iraq situation and if you fully agree with one side or the other then you don’t have a clue. I definetly agree with the marine on the point about voting, don’t vote for someone because Eminem told you too, make up your own minds and VOTE!
yes for free speech. yes eminem has a right to say what he does, but so does the soldier. everyone bashes this war like no tomorrow, yet the reason we are fighting is for freedom. freedom is never free, evident in the fact that hundreds of thousands of soldiers have died for a just cause. if we dont stand up for what we believe in, who will? surely, any educated person out there will agree with the soldier who states how ignorant it is to vote for someone because “eminem says so”. people like that shouldnt be allowed to vote if your influenced by pop culture so much. fuck the whole “vote or die” mtv campaign. id rather my countrys president be decided by 15 well informed voters on the canidates then 15000 uninformed, misguided people.
Eminem never said vote for Kerry. And I DO live in this country, almost all my life, I’ve been a citizen since I was 3, I’m 18 now… and yes, I’m voting for Kerry.
This is bullshit!!!! Freedom of speech….and the right to express political views through words, emotions, or even sign language,,, wackjobs….Sorry about the military soldier,,,, but yer brainwashed…..I was there also,,,, now im out,,,, but i didnt fall into the trap of believing what others told me,,, I saw for myself…Im not gonna brag about being there because people go through shit here every day in the Us.As for going to other countries to keep our beloved country safe what are we susposed to do with the masses of troops in,,,,, lets see,,,, BOSNIA,KOREA,AFGHANASTAN,SOMOLIA,EGYPT,IRAQ,KUWAIT,GERMANY and fifty thousand other places…Look how stupid people got being over In IRAQ alone…The more soldiers we send away from the us the less protection we actually have here cause ya cant tell me that they dont have rounds or explosives or highly valuable equipment in these other countries I have just stated above….I agree with eminem…
Eminem is right about it. Bush is a dictator to me…the worst president America has ever had. This guy endangers the world.
Even though I can actually identify with the way Bush and his conseravtive friends are thinking about punishing terrorist, they are making a huge strategical misstake which unfortunately may backfire on all of us on a greater scale than seen on 911. The reason is that there is no clear distinction between “evil” and “good” people the way Bush is making many people beleive. Nobody is born evil or a terrorist, but can easilly become one if his family member is killed by a foreign force. Even though a terrorist is probably the worst scum on earth, by killing one, you will create 5 new terrorists trying to revenge him. This is why we need to fight a “sensitive” war. There is no cowardness about doing so. If you try the “kill em all” strategy, you will create even more enemies, commited to die for revenge, and so they war only continues. Secondly, USA never had to ask France or anybody else to defend America, that’s is a huge missunderstanding. But there’s a huge difference between “defending America” and attacking a country that wasn’t a threat in the first place. Saddam was a piece of shit, and the world is a better place without him, sure, but he was never a threat to America. So it was done for completely other reasons. What is next, what if Bush says that “we suspect that Iran, and North Korea have WMD”. Should we attack them as well? Oh please!!Eminem, I fully support you. Let’s get rid of Bush, the most dangerous president in the history of a great nation.
Thanks for your insightful comment, Johan. I fully agree with you:)
go eminem its about time some one tells the truce. bush is gay
Guys, we have the power. We have the power to get rid of this president. We have to get out and make our voice heard. Republicans are counting on us being lazy, staying at home and not voting.
Get out and vote and let them hear us and see how powerful we are!!
We are a force to be reckoned with
LOOK U FUCKING MARINE UR THE STUPIDEST PERSON..U R WILLIMNG TO DIE FOR A STUPID ASS WAR THE SHOULDN’T OFF HAPPEND UR STUPID!!KERRY WOULD BE A GOOD PRESIDENT HE KNOWS WAR HE WAS IN ONE U ASS. MAYBE U SHOULD TAKE UR HEAD FROME UR ASS..AND SEE WHAT HAPPENING A LOT OF FAMILIES ARE LOOSING THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS FOR A STUPID WAR..ITS NOT ABOUT TERRORIST ANNYMORE ITS ABOUT OIL..I THINK THAT BUSH SHOULD GET BLASTED..
Eminem, I fully support you. Let’s get rid of Bush, the most dangerous president in the history of a great nation. <<<
Johan i agree with u maybe u should put some common sense in to that stupid ass marine..
Everyone has a right to their opinions. Encluding eminem and other musicians, artist whatever. But I respect our military and support them. At least we have freedom of speech, try that somewhere else and see what happens.
Hello. I am a seventeen year old girl, I’m not able to vote, but I am being effected by this war due to my boyfriend starting boot Wednesday, October 6th. We both didn’t follow news at the time, it’s everywhere now, maybe we just didn’t notice it then? The army recruiters all out lied to us when he enlisted, now he stands a high chance of getting sent over. i understand that this is for our freedom (which i don’t fully understand but whatever) and that’s fine. but our people are over there, some that don’t want to die for their country that signed up under the influence that they stood no chance of going over. they held hopes of collage and are now getting limbs blown off or their being beheaded. I know, I know … what did they think collage was going to be free? No, they knew it was going to be work, but most figured in the country. Kerry doesn’t seem like the best bet either, however since my boyfriend left I’ve followed the elections and such, very carefully and Kerry’s plan is to take out army reserves and send in special forces so we can end this already its been drug out and is getting us nowhere, sounds like it’s worth a try.
I dont like eminem, never have and i find him to be a short angry little man, but as i flipped through channels today his video came on and it moved me, because i dont want my boyfriend (whose last name is Kelly, same as the guy who gets sent to Iraq in the video) to be sent over, he’s 19, and isn’t ready to die because of reasons that could’ve been resolved so long ago. He’s still under the influence he can get out of it, as we were told by the recruiter (yeah, I’m slowly learning I can’t trust anyone even our government), and I almost don’t want to tell him he’s stuck, if Bush gets reelected (and it seems he will). I know Kerry probably won’t change much but it’s worth a try.
I know I repeat some things, I have some much more to say on thsi topic, but this is about a song, not the war-lol. Some will say I’m uneducated and such for things I’ve said but oh well.
I totally believe in what eminem says. Its great to finally hear the truth being told. To make others realize that this war and these deaths serve no others porpose than to please bush’s ambitions, to keep the oil running…to keep him happy, cause he oesnt give a damn about anybody else but himself and yes it would be great to see him fight his own war.
Let ur opinions be told…express urself before it is too late.
Dont forget to get ur ass out there and vote!!
Who cares what Eminem thinks! He’s got a nerve bashing Bush or anyone for that matter. This from a chump who can’t save his marriage, hates and sues his mother and can’t get his own psychological mind in order…and HE wants to save America? Give me a break! Who cares he makes millions…he’s just a chump with a lot of money.
All I want to say is that I have complete respect and admiration for the Marine above and I want to thank him for serving our country as proudly as he does. I agree with every single word that came out of his mouth and all I have left to say is George W. Bush~’04. He is going to win…Don’t be bitter!
Who cares what Eminem thinks? I do. A lot of other people in this world do.
I still don’t understand why ppl reproach Eminem to use his wealth to get heard…money means more power. Ppl wouldn’t listen to him if he was a nobody.
Eminem has the power to be heard by millions of listeners and he has the courage to stand up for his opinions. I admire him for that.
Eminem doesn’t belong to the glamorous Hollywood celebs, he has earned his money the hard way and i am happy that he shows some opposition to Bush.
Bush supporters are blind. Bush will lose the elections, I am pretty sure of it.
im a muslim my self. my brothers are in iraq. my brother is bin laden. as for bush, his allah’s enemy and therefore he is mine. eminem respect to u. but as long as i live, im a soldier for allah till i die. ill fight all wars dat cums to me, 4giv all thos who ask 4 it. at the end i will die as a true soldier.
Eminem’s Mosh is one of the most powerful protest songs ever.
Eminem has been able to give voice to what a large number of people think or what was still blurred in the feelings of others: that this presidency of rhetoric and deception has perpetrated disasters for the whole country. Not only has Bush engaged in a pointless and illegitimate war based on pretexts, a war that has caused the death of over 1100 Americans and 100,000 Iraqi people (half of whom children and women), but he has created a climate where even dissenting from his policies was considered ‘antipatriotic’, thus altering the healthy mitigating mechanisms of democracy.
Bush has exploited panic and fear to carry out mindless policies which have made the situation much worse and inflamed hate. And his aims were certainly not ‘moral’, rather responded to a logic of geo-political and economical power.
Just check this info, read carefully: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PNAC
Large numbers of people have suffered for Bush’s unjust domestic and foreign policies.
It has simply become too much.
Fortunately, American people have healthy values of civilization, justice and democracy, thus they – the American people – represent the best antibodies against mindless and aggressive policies. But to counteract terror and social injustice, they must direct politics with their vote.
The best way to be patriotic is to use one’s conscience and exercise one’s right to dissent.
Let’s hope that truly America will gain back its senses in terms of tolerance, respect of others and recognizion of other countries’ right to self-determination. Let’s hope that aggression and arrogance will be replaced by a new wise course, aiming at peace, respect and legality, rather than aggression and mindless muscularity.
What’s up Gavin?
First visit to the site. Hope all is well.

Ok folks, I have lived in the US for 20 years and I was a (short) drive from NYC during the attacks. I did fear for my life. I also didn’t know anything about politics at the time. Like most people I assumed that the government was doing it’s job. What I’ve learned since then is that if you live in the US and you are one of the minority who actually watch American news, you still don’t know shit about what’s going on in the world. I’ve asked people why the US was attacked and the overwhelming answer is “bcos they’re jealous of our wealth” ?!?!?! Most Americans don’t even see the Israel/Palestinian connection at all!! Why, because it is never mentioned. Even when Bin Laden spelled it out in his video last week it got almost no mention on the news. The American Media kills people by thier incompetence.
