In the last few weeks I have noticed an increase in the amount of comment spam coming my way. Akismet catches most of them, now standing at over 37,000 comment spam caught. It increase by between 500 and 1000 a day.
Today I came across this. It appears to be a log for spammers, of whether their comment spam were successful or not. If you change the 1 in ‘log1’ in the address bar to 2 you see more pages of it.
More interestingly, if you go to here, it appears to be a form for actually sending spam. If you try to access the actual domain you get ‘directory listing denied’. You can send 1000s of comment spam per second…using various text formulas.
Evil spammers!

See IRISH MY ERSE! for comment on Henry Kelly’s verdict on Charles Haughey
Yikes! That’s kinda scary! I’ve seen similar sites and it’s obvious that the software to do that is out there because we’ve all been hit by comment spam but to see the detailed logs they keep… Sheesh.
I’m glad Akismet is so effective at stopping them! 🙂
Can any bard out there write a song entitled
THE OLD BLOG ROLL
Incidentally why isn’t An Phoist issuing a stamp
commemorating the bicentenary of a significant date in our maritime history – the sailing of the Irish Rover from the Coal Quay in Cork?
It’s just been pointed out to me that the National Colours were dipped in salute to the corpse of Charles Haughey, contrary to protocol. No mere mortal merited that. Formerly the National Colours were dipped only for the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. I’ve actually served on an FCA Honour Guard where this happened. In command of the Guard was a Protestant Officer who gave the Gaelic order, or what he thought to be the Gaelic order, in a Geordie accent.

That is a lot of crap, Dinal, and you know it.
Ned Curry was a Company Commander when you served and would not have commanded an Altar Guard.
