  • Yahoo launches Podcast directory

[Via Tom] Yahoo have launched a directory of podcasts, and it looks much nicer than iTunes. Indeed I still can’t understand why Irish podcasts figure so highly in the top 10 podcasts, or is that just because I am browsing from Ireland. Does Strawberry Alarm Clock really have that many listeners?

  • SMS Bible launched in Australia

I hate SMS type language, I use predictive text, which is what all smart people do. Obviously. 🙂

  • HBO Attacking BitTorrent

HBO are trying to poison the biggest filesharing tool on the Internet: HBO is actively poisoning the BitTorrent downloads of the new show Rome. In addition to an older tactic of offering bogus downloads that never complete, HBO is now obstructing the downloads offered by other people. Via Tom I found the new Yahoo thing that allows me to explore different sites within a domain name. So obviously I checked my own, as you do. I just can’t believe that there are almost 15,000 pages and almost 60,000 inward links, that can’t be right, can it?

  • GahooYoogle

Not sure what search engine to use. Try two together. [Via Steve]

  • BT Ireland sucks

Adam Beecher, who I think I know through boards.ie reading, is in BT Ireland’s bad books, due to this website. It looks like he got coverage recently in the Business Post too. I have a feeling ICANN will side with Beecher, and when he says: “I have as much right to say that ‘BT Ireland…

  • Google Goes Las Vegas

Robert Cringely has a very interesting piece on how Google Adwords might be working. Another reason to think maybe Google are not so nice afterall I have no idea what the heck is happening here, but my friendly reader, who makes his living from this stuff, has a theory. He believes the Google AdWords algorithm…
